Nice that the SB Airport has a phone for the occasional traveller without their own. Now if only they had a water dispenser with half decent and cold water!
Is this the Crocodile Bar at Lemon Tree Inn?
Hi there,
Love the column. Very informative. Wondering about the “West Beach hot potato”? It used to be that a hot potato was something nobody wanted to touch. Maybe the expression has changed over the years?
They will not be able to keep these advertised prices for long or go out of business if they don’t charge more.
Easy Rich take a chill pill breath. Romantizer was a sub par restaurant like going to Taco Bell. If you want good Mexican food go to la super rica or los arroyos.
Peace ✌️
Flhope?
Love that!
In re: "...describe a flip that’s more about getting out (ideally whole) than trying to make a quick dime."
May I suggest a "floops" ?
You can tell that Ellens messages is so true from this news, it's all about love and treating each other with kindness.
What I find interesting about the re-striping is that “sales tax from businesses like restaurants, hotels, food, drugs, building, and construction were up 3-7 percent in Old Town”
It’s literally just the auto dealerships and shops struggling.
I'm still trying to figure out if "Wedgie Salad" is a typo or not.
They are all local brews that cost $9 at the breweries. That’s a pretty standard price…also who goes to cutlers and gets a beer? But if you do want one he’s sourced the best!
We’ve gone to Cutlers now 2-3 times and have been very impressed. The burnt ends broccoli is incredible.
11$ for a draft beer what a joke!
Cutler’s is selling their locally produced, premium alcohol, and prices reflect such…
If he likes them, they just released tall boys (19.2oz/568ml) on their website for general order.
I thought the same thing as City@SB. The Ellwood has ocean views, Cutler is very much in the industrial area of town. Not in this Drunk Zone you speak of.
My husband couldn’t drink for awhile (medication) and really liked the Athletic Free Wave IPA. It’s got .05 alcohol content so less then you wanted. He’s still drinking it and enjoying it!
Topa Topa did 2% IPA in the fall of 2021 as a limited release but I'm not aware of any local breweries that have one on tap currently. It seems like the focus have shifted to releasing non-alcoholic options in parallel (i.e. Firestone 805 Zero, Fig Mountain now have a few options).
And you are amazed at that....why? Are you under the mistaken impression that rents in The Drunk Zone are cheap....?
Always amazes me how some eating establishments in the industrial parts of Santa Barbara can charge the same prices or more than the high end restaurants on Coast Village Road.
There's a mobile security camera on a construction site near me, and when it senses an intruder it has a loud speaker that says "Your presence has been noted and law enforcement has been contacted". (So far I haven't seen any law enforcement show up, but don't tell anyone).
"We appreciate your PATIENT during this process" should have been a giveaway." LOL
There seems to be one at Ralph's on Carrillo, too
