Where in Santa Barbara…?

Know where this was shot? Prove it in the comments.

Update: Congratulations to Nicolas for correctly identifying this as the path parallel to Hammonds Beach. Update 3/13: “The initials are from a previous owner of the largest and most grand home on Edgecliff Lane,” commented Peter. “It was owned by a Los Angeles attorney by the name of Lester Alan Berman. He was quite the man about town and threw lots of raucous parties at the house in the 70s & 80s. He was later killed while breaking into a house of an acquaintance of his in Santa Barbara, reportedly attempting to murder at least one of the two people. He had quite the reputation prior to his demise.”

That’s on the walking path parallel to Miramar beach. Near Bonnymede.

I know where it is, but I’d also love to know if there’s a story there. Looks like it could be a family crest or logo…is it anything noteworthy or historical?
