Very very helpful! Thank you!
The renderings are nonsense. Just look at the roundabout at CVR & Hot Springs. As Paul Simon sang, "nothing but the dead & dying back in my little town." Most of the plants & trees are on life support, only the weeds survive.
I’ll miss the big trees so much. I couldn’t hate the textured sound walls more (already on display in Carpinteria), though I understand the surface design itself may help scatter sound and, hopefully, allows climbing vines to cling and cover ASAP.
A friend of mine lived in El Caserio many moons ago. Absolutely LOVE those little casitas.
Sad to see Tienda Ho go. The interior was always an adventure. It felt like you were making your way through a jungle to get to the $20 racks in back.

Greenhouse Milpas new location is I believe off Milpas behind 7-11 and Rusty Pizza in an old La Sumida Nusery location (lasumida.com/wordpress/history).
Love this feature ?
I love this walk but apparently have missed so much....must find that topiary menagerie!
Glad a coffee shop is going into the old Coffee Bean space. I always loved stopping by for a cuppa when I was coming back from Trader Jose's. Interesting Indonesian food delivery. The photos are drool worthy.
Chapala was in escrow and now has fallen out. At least according to Redfin. Is the county having second thoughts?

Wow!!! Thank you for that information. If you hear anything please keep us posted our entire San Roque neighborhood is very excited about a new restaurant possibly coming in to this wonderful location. 5.5 million is a hefty price and I wouldn’t be surprised if the new owners paid cash.
According to Zillow, the property ("0 More Mesa") is still in escrow: Zillow Link. I'm afraid I have no way of finding out who the potential buyer is.
Hello - I read on this site that More Mesa was in escrow, however could not find anything on the MLS. Do you know if this is still in escrow? And who the buyer is? Thanks!
Now is the time to discuss all aspects of this hostel purchase because, evidently, there is not an actual offer in place at this time (unless under the table). Therefore, in my opinion, we have to make noise. I second Dan O. Seibert in the absurdity of such purchase in this area. Regardless of one's thoughts regarding the unhoused population--although I would think we all are in agreement that there has to be something done with the crisis--yet spending over 3 million dollars on a 25 bed "bridge- shelter" in this prime real estate location; the entrance to the hub of the city via the train station; a neighbor to the kid's museum The Moxie, makes absolutely no sense. I believe our property tax dollars could be spent in a much more prudent and efficient way in another location. Please. voice your opinion.
The county is crazy to buy this for a transition home. Good lord. . . when did Gregg Hart lose his mind. It's the most prime real estate. How about the Dario Pini hotel on State near Sola? Buy Dario's property for 4.7 million.
