Los Agaves Is Opening a Oaxacan Spinoff Across from the Beach

••• Carlos Luna of the Los Agaves group is opening an Oaxacan restaurant at the northwest corner of E. Cabrillo and Anacapa, next door to Oku and across the street from the Santa Barbara FisHouse. According to the help-wanted notice in the window, its debut isn’t far off. No word yet on the name.

••• While I was poking around online about the above item, I came across a page with more details about Leadbetter, a sister establishment to Oku in the space to the west. “23 E. Cabrillo Boulevard will be the new home for our concept, Leadbetter. The location will attract tourists & locals with Stumptown Coffee, craft beer & wine, cocktails & fast casual breakfast, lunch & dinner 7 days a week. Boasting an ocean front patio, patrons will enjoy unobstructed ocean- view dining year round.”

••• An unconfirmed rumor: Santa Ynez’s S.Y. Kitchen will take over the former Bear and Star restaurant at the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos.

••• A new restaurant is moving into the former Little Door at 129 E. Anapamu, notes the Restaurant Guy. The proprietor appears to be Elie M. Genadry, the owner of Village Frame & Gallery in Montecito.

••• Yume Sushi, which used to be at 428 Chapala, is reopening at 1134 Chapala, previously Bar 29 and, before that, Hungry Cat. —Restaurant Guy

••• The Daisy, opening today tomorrow [the date changed] on State Street, posted a photo of its interior. And by poking around on its website, I found an unlinked page with a menu. Not sure whether it’s real, though. UPDATE 11/19: Here’s the official menu.
