Santa Barbara Fish Market’s Goleta Shop and Restaurant Has Opened

••• A new bread at Oat Bakery is always worth noting, and I was especially glad to see it’s a Pullman loaf, because I need a good sandwich bread. It’s only at the Goleta location, which means you have an excuse to get lunch there. I’m still thinking about the turkey sandwich….

••• The Santa Barbara Fish Market‘s Goleta shop/restaurant opened yesterday, reports Noozhawk. And Restaurant Guy posted the menu.

That loaf looks good….but I’d highly suggest you try the Sourdough Sandwich Loaf from Riviera Bread. If you haven’t checked out her stuff yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. No joke, I think it’s the best sourdough in CA right now.

Christine has the right link – it’s worth noting that the way it works is that orders for any given week open on Sunday morning, and close on Tuesday morning. You can select pickup or delivery for either Wednesday or Friday – there are different locations for each day. The best way to get notified is to sign up for the email list – the email that goes out on Sunday mornings will have the menu for the week and link to buy.

I’ve been to Convivo twice in the last few months and was surprised and delighted — both times it felt like we were surrounded by out-of-towners. It’s on kind of a lonely corner — Milpas and Cabrillo — so they don’t get the foot traffic of State of the Funk Zone. But you can valet your car and the staff is super friendly.
