I volunteer every year at the Orchid Show- the best way to see the production! It is so fun to people watch and see the purchases people make- people drive from San Diego/LA/Santa Monica to see their favorite purveyors!
I agree, I still miss Empty Bowl that was on CVR. They called it by another name which was confusing and had lots of outdoor seating which not everyone wants. We love the food at the public market and it was nice to go to a sit down restaurant and enjoy basically the same menu. And something different!

Thank you for reminding me that beautiful pictures do not convey the feel of the climate, hot and humid. Unfortunately, for me, there is no place on earth interesting enough to endure the discomfort and energy-sapping heat of an equatorial climate; that narrows the choices quite a bit, and that's ok.

Hey Erik, do you have any idea what the building at 2 N. Calle Cesar Chavez will be built for? Seems pretty descriptive that it must be for a certain client.
I am always surprised when people say parking is an issue in the FZ. I've been using the Garden Street lot for years and only on July 4th is it full. There is an path in the back of the lot that goes right past Brass Bear, STUDIO & SB Winery. Even better, a waterfront pass works there so its free if you have the pass (a great value)!
I like how the What The Pug cafe has a sign that says “no one ugly allowed”.
