RAJAS are best served at El Sitio?
Raja tacos from mony's are the real deal.
Thanks for finding out the hotel situation Erik! Can't wait to see what they do with it.
I was wondering the same thing with the sign! I wonder if it can find a good home in a nearby restaurant.. kinda like the Jolly Tiger sign in Cafe Roy.
Burkdoll sells a variety of jams. "Hot Katy" cherry rosemary jam is my favorite. It's sweet, spicy and the rosemary makes it savory (makes a great duck or salmon glaze). Man-o-man it's the jam! Tana is the nice lady usually at the market giving free samples (and pictured on the jam label) and the one who makes it. Cherry season has just begun, so expect to see it soon! Can't wait!
An Axe Throwing Club? What could possibly go wrong.
No, it’s NOT a good thing. We are a community of neighbors not neighborhoods of time shares. We need communities with voters who actually live here full time. Whether it’s a time share or someone who has homes in Aspen, Telluride, New York, London AND Santa Barbara, you may love spending a few weeks here each year, but you are unintentionally destroying our town. We need affordable housing for teachers, firemen, doctors, etc etc…
Super healthy- raised on Nature’s Plus vitamins
At this price you can only get 1/6 of a golden retriever, which makes a terrible pet.
I never would have guessed I could have my very own Zebra for $500. So many questions… obviously one person’s already interested.
Buy and store it !
Oh, I am sad to see the Victor the Florist space empty. Can that sign and storefront be preserved somehow?
Hello all As a long time Santa Barbara resident and new co-owner of a Pacaso managed home in Newport Beach, I think the concept is genius. We are fortunate to share a home on Balboa island with 5 other families. We were all thoroughly vetted and have agreed to a strict code of conduct. Unfortunately, we cannot control who are neighbors will be and I understand having 8 could seem challenging. Perhaps your new neighbors were utterly thrilled with their good fortune of owning in SB that they over celebrated? I would suggest you work with them and Pacaso-Share your concerns and hopes and reinforce being a good neighbor. Co-ownership is not a new concept and Pacaso takes it to another level with their ingenuity. I’m confident they will work with you and the co-owners to address your concerns.
Nice Partridge Family reference in your TV Hill walk. I'm not sure how I should feel about the fact that I recognized it...
AWKWARD THAT 20 million is being spent to buy a place to get people off of the street and provide them with room for outdoor activities, yet the outdoor activities built into nature are being prevented from people accessing them. Maybe combo the Hobo Habitat for 60 with parking for 62 ( not many homeless have cars!)- and you get 60 ON SITE workers= keep the trails clean, keep the weeds down, on-site interpretive hosts! Thats how the cookie crumbles I guess
Exactly! Ban means just that. Allowed where legal, of course.
"environmental" my a**. Classism showing it's ugly face, yet again.
We met a very lovely lady setting up for the May 1st opening of "Home Crush" on Lillie Avenue in Summerland. . She stated they will sell everything not found elsewhere in Santa Bárbara for outdoor entertaining!
El Mercado
Any idea who bought the quality inn and/or what they plan on doing with it?
I'm hosting a walk on April 30 around the Las Tunas Road neighbhood to Franchesci Park and would like to share a little history of the park and its financial issues. May I have your permission to print about 15 copies of your article. It's a great history of what's stalled along the way to preserving this property. Thx. Jim
It is banned in almost all of the south county except in the limited coastal zone. But tell that to the hundreds of people illegally renting out units.
A map of Santa Barbara city boundaries indicates that south of Hale Park is Santa Barbara, and north of it is Montecito. So Eucalyptus Hill Drive is definitely Santa Barbara, not Montecito. There's a detail of the area at https://www.sitelinesb.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Eucalyptus-Hill-Santa-Barbara-boundary.jpg—the yellow part is Santa Barbara.
The city of Palm Springs is attempting to ban Pacaso from doing business there. PS claims Pacaso's business model is a time share which are not allowed. Pacaso denies this. PS is following St. Helenas lead and it will most likely end up in court.
