I hope they know how to spell Santa Claus for their logo clothing etc. Unless they are adding a "clause" to the sentence!
Christine, I don’t think it’s safe to say it’s rigged. You and I just disagree with the masses, who probably vote for what they can afford to eat regularly. Those Michelin Star pizza joints are too pricey for some.
Thank you! We agree completely about the windows. That was an element inherited from the previous owner, and we're already in process getting them swapped out for wood windows.
What beautiful upgrades by Hearth. I hope long term they’ll consider swapping out the white plastic windows with fake divided light for something worthy of the rest of the work they’ve done! These types of windows are really degrading the architectural integrity of our town and I recoil seeing them on historic buildings especially. Anyway I was wondering what would happen with these properties so this is a nice update.
Agreed, especially if she is paying for it. Just stop serving alcohol and let her know she is cut off.
The idea that what I order might not be what I get doesn't sit right with me. I'm not saying they should have continued to serve her alcohol, but to change the drink without permission is unethical.
Considering Rusty's Pizza and Woody's BBQ (rip) are always voted "best" in their categories, it's safe to say that it's rigged and junk data.
Still think you should do your idea of “Siteline Best Of”
Why doesn't your cyber captain make magnification of text available with a finger spread?
The publisher of Independent = exactly how you described their best of list. Self serving and slimy
It is on the corner of Junipero and Wellington
Totally agree, a bike lane is long overdue. I've always enjoyed biking State Street, even before it was closed to traffic, and don't understand why people now walk five abreast in the middle of the street when they have a perfectly good (and safe) sidewalk.
Afraid not!
Is it the new(er) complex with Radius(?) signage in front on De La Guerra St between Garden & Santa Barbara?
Thanks for the detailed explanation & great photos. A vicarious experience … I went on one in Mexico which had a 30 something age restriction. Not enforced. I was 79.
Nope, but thanks for guessing!
I think this is on W Quinto St ????
I don’t think it’s bizarre at all. Hugette’s father taught her to be wary of gold digging strangers. After her sister, dad, mom died, she basically withdrew from life. Her dolls (yes weird) always brought her comfort, but IMO cats & dogs would have been more rewarding companions for her.
The bike lanes on State Street are overdue- wonderful! One should also be concerned whether there will be adequate signage so that tourists will be cognizant of bike paths and not continue to blindly and suddenly step into the street. The Santa Monica beach bike path has similar issues and it’s stressful for even the most conscientious bicyclists.
I do hope that is the result- if the business changes hands, it remains the same or similar- there is always room for improvement…just don’t change the sandwiches or breads.
The building and the business are both for sale, separately. I don't typically mention when businesses are for sale (although I'm sure there have been exceptions), because the fear is that people will frequent them less, even though they may take a long time to sell (or never sell at all). Realistically, pretty much every business is for sale, for the right price.
And even if a business does end up with new owners, it may not change in substantive ways—in which case the change of ownership isn't especially noteworthy.
Yeah, I was wondering the same. @ Christine! The building is for sale. I haven't heard anything about the business. Was surprised when I received the LoopNet notification. Here's the listing: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/216-E-Yanonali-St-Santa-Barbara-CA/29402206
Show me the proof!
18 dollars for a sandwich lmao
What about Metropolous being for sale?
