The Montecito Country Mart remains the epicenter of privileged parking. Then again, pulling through just the right amount is really hard.

Drivers of big-ass vehicles often feel entitled to more than one space.
Three is actually kind of impressive.
It might be preferable to this. A tip: whenever you get out of your car, check to see that you haven’t blocked the way…

I still view where the red Lexus is as a valid parking space despite the Country Mart taking it away and I have no issue with people parking there!
They don’t deserve to have their license plates covered up. Shame them!

There was a great episode of Curb where Larry is forced to park incorrecty because of other cars then those move and he is shamed for bad parking. So 😁
All the former BMW owners bought Teslas, then had to buy their “I bought this before Elon was a jerk” stickers when the virtue signalling started to backfire.

To be fair, you sound like the jerk, and a real pick me kinda person. How many jobs and taxes have YOU brought here? Is Elon not capable of criticism.
I must say there’s nothing more pathetic than the cope with the anti-Elon stickers. Such a weak effort to protest their own support of someone they hate.
Imagine thinking a bumper sticker negates you compromising your own values while giving someone that you hate that much all that money and driving around in their vehicle all day long.
They bought their Teslas before he did all those things that created the ” hate”. Hence the stickers.
I know a very community-engaged and generous couple who have two Teslas, purchased before we all found out what a monster Elon is. I think I would be sorely tempted to take the financial hit and sell them if they were mine, but I don’t begrudge them because I know what they actually stand for.
We have a business that has a red area in the front of our shop so that nobody parks there. Everybody thinks that’s their own private parking space on Montecito Street and when I ask him to move because I can’t back out of our driveway without trying to get hit because I can’t see because there’s a car blocked in the red space every time and they get mad at me when I say please move. I’ve almost been hit three times so now I don’t ask him to move. I just called the police
The red TESLA is impressive. Block two ADA slots and the ADA ramp. All three are ticket offenses. (Yes, parking in the crosshatch area is ticket able.)
Is it two tickets or three?
Maybe they have 3 wheelchairs.

Imagine the dent in the city/county budgets if the police actually ticketed these drivers!
Totally! The city council has been emphasizing that the Yardi/Paseo Nuevo deal is going to bring in $120,000/year in real estate taxes (which was previously $1.00/year, if I’m not mistaken – and probably cost 10 times that in outside legal fees to broker that deal!) However, if they issued just 3,000 parking tickets per year, or 250 per month, @ $40.00 per ticket for every bozo that violated a no-parking zone, a 15-minute-only parking zone, blocked fire hydrants, etc., they could also collect $120,000/year…
