Montecito’s Bree’osh Bakery Is Opening an Outpost in Santa Barbara

••• I was happy to see that Field + Fort has added a bunch of outdoor tables, undoubtedly to keep up with its popularity. Now if it could only add parking…. Also, one of today’s specials—but I got the sense it’s offered all the time—is a rotisserie chicken with roasted potatoes and cabbage, available after 3 p.m. and presumably meant for takeout.

••• Bree’osh bakery on Coast Village Road has moved its kitchen to the former Our Daily Bread space at 2700 De La Vina, where it also plans to open a retail store in six months or so.

••• Starting March 16, only Costco members can eat at the stores’ food courts. —Food & Wine (via Edible)

••• Welcome news from Caruso’s at the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort: the restaurant has added a “plant based tasting menu” with dishes such as a tangerine salad and cacio e pepe mushroom tortelli.

••• Signage is up for Lighthouse Coffee’s new café in the former Breakfast space on Chapala (news of which was first reported here two months ago). —Restaurant Guy

••• I hadn’t been to San Ysidro Ranch in a while, because we usually save it for special occasions, but the other night we went anyway. I’ve always found it frustrating how, when you’re sitting out under the loquat trees, you have to proactively request the Plow & Angel pub menu (in addition to the Stonehouse menu you’re given). And you also used to have to ask about the locals’ specials on certain nights. On this last visit, however, we were told that the Plow & Angel is no longer offering the locals’ specials outside, only inside.
