Exciting news from Santa Barbara’s premier doughnut shop, Hook & Press: it’s moving from Mosaic Locale on State Street to the former Jeannine’s Bakery outpost at 15 E. Figueroa, inside La Arcada Plaza. And more space means more menu items, including cake doughnuts and savory items. (Let there please be an old-fashioned one in the works….) From the announcement from proprietors John Burnett and Denisse Salinas:
As many of you know, since opening in late 2018, Hook & Press Donuts has operated inside a shared co-op retail space on State Street with all of our production occurring in a shared off-site kitchen with limited early morning hours. Transitioning into our own full-access kitchen will allow us to expand our hours of operation, increase production throughout the day, evolve our menu, accommodate more events and become the donut shop we have always envisioned!
In addition to our current offerings we’ll also finally be able to add cake-style, gluten free and vegan donuts to the menu (something you’ve been asking us for since day one!). We’ll be creating a selection of savory breakfast and brunch items, too!
They’re shooting for later this year. Until then, of course, you can still find Hook & Press in its usual spot.
