••• From R.: “There’s a huge amount of roadwork on Cliff Drive from the roundabout near Hendry’s all the way to City College. The crews look to be installing large blue piping in the middle of the street. It has been going on for months and Cliff Drive is a mess now—steel plates, uneven road surface, detours, etc. We were wondering what the heck is going on and when will it end!” Cliff Drive is in the middle of a big transformation—well, middle might not be the right word, since construction is expected to go on for several more years. The blue pipe is the water main replacement, which has to happen before everything else (14 new crosswalks, four new traffic signals, wider sidewalks, and much more). There’s more info here (including more renderings), or if you’d rather read an article, head over to Noozhawk.
