Two New Shops Are Raising Santa Barbara’s Fashion Game

A pair of clothing stores—one mainly for women, the other for men—have opened in Santa Barbara in recent weeks.

Ladies first: Tucked down a paseo on the State Street side of the Lobero Theatre, is Sands Boutique. Not only is swimwear designer Lana Sands featuring her own line—”made with the most luxurious recycled Italian fabrics and sustainably produced and hand finished in Los Angeles”—but having helped open the Goop shop at the Miramar resort, she has also curated merchandise from other brands.

Meanwhile, in the Funk Zone, Parker Simon has opened Tendrel, a menswear shop specializing in denim. It’s a whole vibe, with sunglasses, vinyl, books, and more. Go check both shops out! If you want independent stores, you have to support them. And tell them Siteline sent you….

I thought your comments about French style home being stale was very rude , The owner /designer had that home published in many national magazines . She is still living in montecito and raised her family there for twenty years . Just like the new owners it was a ground breaking masterpiece in the 1990’s. Many of the bones of this updated version were her architectural designs . She has moved on to an incredible contemporary property where she is working her magic . Thought your comments were glib and hurtful. New owners got published in AD and now flipping , never their original intentions when buying . Don’t think you know all the facts on this one.
You do an amazing job with siteline which I read religiously but think you overstepped this time . You are not a broker are you ?
