The Enterprise Fish Building Is Becoming Offices

••• Well, that’s too bad: the building at 225 State Street, formerly the home of Enterprise Fish Co. (or Fish Enterprise, as Restaurant Guy calls it) is being turned into office space.

••• 805 Living has more on Kitchen 530, the incubator coming to the former Samy’s Camera shop at 530 State Street. There will be “10 hot-preparation facilities, 10 cold-preparation facilities, two baking stations, a show kitchen and event space, a retail market, and a public restaurant. Diners will be able to enjoy food from multiple tenants but order in one place.” And there will apparently be a coffee shop, too. Kitchen 530’s website says it’ll open this fall.

••• The notice for a liquor license application at Patagonia’s headquarters-and-shop in Ventura says it’s an off-sale wine license, but the name is Forest Ferments, which sounds more like kombucha.

••• Monty’s Sports Bar in Goleta has closed, to be replaced by something called No Town Tavern. —Restaurant Guy

••• Artist Michael E. Long completed another dive-bar diorama, this one a commission of the Pickle Room. For more photos, see his Instagram page (linked to above). Also, his work is the subject of Vuja De, a short documentary by Casey McGarry screening in the Closing Night Shorts program.
