The name of Meghan’s brand is American Riviera Orchard Montecito. She should keep Montecito out it and stop with selling of our private little town.
Eating Insects?! Does the world economic forum and bills gates sponsor UCSB?! Have they lost their minds?! What is wrong with real food?!?
Amen.
It’s located at the end of Presidio Avenue next to the Main Post Office. It’s an homage to Chinatown.
Surprised about Shalhoob’s. They have a lot of real estate at the public market and it’s always packed these days. I believe they run the front bar area (as well as back bar and restaurant ) which is very busy.
Same thing happens in the Land Rover on Cliff Drive at Mesa Lane (right by the signal/school).
The adult store below 154 is called “The Riv.” It would be funny if they both had the same name.
Ha! I was going to post a question on Nextdoor about CarPlay dropping out at Milpas last week but never got around to it! I drive a Porsche Macan and have Verizon. Basically every time I drive South on the 101 between the two Milpas exits, my car screen goes black for a few seconds and it kicks me out of my Google Maps navigation. It rarely happens when driving north. I figured it must be happening to other people too. Could there be some type of signal jammer in that area? Seems like more than just losing service though, because I when drive through areas where I know I have no cell service (Hope Ranch etc) it doesn’t suddenly restart the whole system.
We have issues with CarPlay cutting out too (Verizon + both of our vehicles). It happens close to the train tracks/bird refuge and sometimes drops 2x when I head southbound right before the Hot Springs/Cabrillo exit. Glad to know we aren’t the only ones.
WOW! Really?
YES! Hope springs eternal.
This same thing happens to me! I have been so curious about this. It recently came up at a dinner and it happens to my friends as well. We all have different cars (BMW, Toyota, and Range Rover) and different cell carriers.
I feel seen! I have an Audi, but Verizon service, the same thing has been happening to me. Milpas/101, particularly going North. My CarPlay disconnects every time, though I don’t necessarily drop the call. Now I wonder if this is an Audi issue…
American Riviera Orchard is a mouthful. Maybe The Riv works, but there’s also a magazine called that. Yeah sounds like they’re sticking around in SB. Always hearing stories that they’re moving but this branding makes it seem like they’re staying here.
I think the updating of our airport sounds great and not necessarily changing the size dramatically. Hopefully the restaurant will serve and early morning breakfast for all these very early flights we have to fly across country.
I have been to this beautiful Esperanza home to play pickleball on that amazing court - its hard to play initially due to the views- Take a look! also the house is very cool inside and absolutely takes advantage of the views - there are windows galore and its modern yet very warm. someone would be very lucky to live in this house.
Obviously you are entitled to your opinion-people have different tastes in a home-obviously you don't like ours. But I have to tell you, it is AMAZING to live here! I wake up and look to the right-beautiful mountain views, I look to the left and beautiful ocean views! The light that comes into the house just feels good and gives energy. The ocean views are different daily which is interesting. The sunset views are awe-inspiring!
Playing pickleball on our court where you have an ocean view while serving on one side and a mountain view from the other is unique-not to mention that the marine layer engulfs us while we are playing on some days! We enjoy the privacy that the mountaintop gives us along with the views over the MoreMesa. We can walk to the private Hope Ranch beach in 20 minutes also.
By the way, this house has 2 offices with perfect ocean views- one above the kitchen and the other in the back room off of the primary. This is definitely a home for our family and believe me-not sterile at all-quite the contrary-a home filled with love. I will truly miss living here but know that the next family will enjoy it as much as we do.
(I will not get into a conversation about this-it will be my only post-just wanted to give you an idea of why we love the home so much.) I appreciate your opinion and that you took time to comment.
Ah, yes, a tattoo parlor (and not a “cool” local one, either), Just what State Street needs. Goes perfectly with the 7/11. We should add a liquor store and smoke shop, too.
I live on Ricardo (that’s our kid painted little free library! and when I first moved to the street (2009) there truly was no outlet. I can’t remember exactly when they opened it up but the city never bothered to remove the sign at Dolores/Ricardo.
Kamala lacks bumperstickers, or any real recognition etc., as she is a less than one hit wonder. Own it!
To clarify, Metropulos was not sold. The building that Metropulos occupied was sold. Big difference.
Must be from Florida
Oliver’s is doing just fine. They have the best vegan food anywhere near here. Some others would do well if they only would step up with just one or two vegan menu options.
well you are certainly only marginally literate, or just illiterate. please go back to school, learn grammar, how to spell, and how to compose a sentence. No one can take you seriously
There is no room in the bottle shop to hang out.
