BOO!
You as foolish as your hand makes you appear? Its so funny that in thinking they are describing the “other side”, you are actually describing yourself.
Do you know ANYONE who let’s a person they’ve never met or even shook hands with tell them “what to believe”- what a fool you are Bob!
I was at Shalhoob's in Magnolia Shopping Center on December 29th, doors were open and contractors were there. They look like they are very close to finishing.
Will miss the chocolate chip cookies I would pick up for me and my tour guests to enjoy, and seeing Susan T. Always dreamed a second Metropolis would be established across from Foodland before the 99 cent store moved in!
Imagine the lapse in critical thinking skills it takes to fall for and believe what Tucker Carlson or Sean Hannity says let alone the orange makeup wearing leader of their cult...
Like my grandpa used to say "The hardest thing for a fool to figure, is to figure they've been fooled."
Remember, these people walk among us. Avoid them if possible and if you're so inclined, take advantage of them - they'll fall for anything. Except when it's backed by science, math and indisputable fact.
- Bob!
The food biz is the most challenging but you have survived all these years. You have provided so many employment opportunities to people interested in the culinary arts. Please feel proud about your many years of hard work and perserverance. Best of luck going forward!
The trails have been fantastic and I have seen a big increase in the number of neighbors using them. I feel so much safer walking the dog around the neighborhood. They have held up well in these rains and I hope people can see the benefit and appreciate the hard work to get them installed.
Thank you....
I heard Shalhoob’s in Goleta ran out of funding and won’t be opening their doors.
You want a rebuttal? . . . OK. I spent the summer of 1985 working for John McCain, one of the many things I learned that summer is the Capitol steps are off limits to the public unless you are accompanied by a member of Congress. Or you have a permit to hold a gathering. So all of those people that crossed the barriers on Jan. 6, reciting the pledge with Karen Jones, broke the law, this is fact #1. The woman you refer to, Ashli Babbitt was not shot in the face. Look at the videos, there is no blood on her face and no blood spatter on the people or walls behind her. She was shot in the shoulder, that is #2. Lastly, you state she was unarmed, let's define the term. You might be thinking she was unarmed because she didn't have a gun in her possession. But she did have a "para-force" style of knife with her. In my opinion carrying a knife is being armed. At this point I've impeached you on all three of your points, is this a good enough rebuttal or would you like to head into the bonus round?
Barker Pass from where this walkway stops and the next city sidewalk on APS picks up could really use something. It’s a speedway with blind curves. But the area that really needs prioritization is the sidewalk approaching the roundabout, downhill from eucalyptus hill. In particular, there is a tree root uplift right on the curve that twice now I’ve passed a mom trying to negotiate a stroller over and nearly tipping it into the street. Cleveland school is just above this and the bus stop is just below. It really needs to be repaired!
Oh, NO!! Say it ain’t so…????! You will be sorely missed, but thank you for your many years of service to the Greater SB community! ????????♀️????
Greek restaurants/ restauranteurs are needed here. I spent most of my life in Chicago and the Greek restaurants thrived hard working and passionate. Metropolis will be missed ❤️
Your market & deli were the best, at least within my orbit. You will be missed. A lot.
By far the best sandwiches and the nicest people in town. I am sorry to see this authentic establishment go. Good luck on your next adventure.
She was trying to get in to hang Mike Pence or Nancy Pelosi or both. The insurrectionists were lucky there were no machine guns (or at least snipers) on the roof of our capitol.
It was electrical in the wall where walk in frig was. It did NOT burn down
So sad. All the best. But where will I get my gyro?
Stearns Wharf Bait & Tackle
Sorry to see you go but know that you made this town a better place. Not only good food, but also a great little market. Plus, very nice service from a considerate staff of people. An increasing rarity that Ive observed during my 70 years in Santa Barbara. You leave a hole not only in this town but in our hearts. Happy Trails, I think its probably good timing as the Funk Zone is loosing its charms along with its funk. Im sure that whatever you do next, you will continue to make life delicious.
Will miss them. They helped us get through covid: every Friday we would pick up gyros and go sit in the car and have lunch overlooking the ocean from the wharf. All the best in your next phase.
Was that a rebuttal? You are saying its good a unarmed white woman died being shot in the face? She wasn’t throwing a maltov cocktail at a police station during a BLM march- wrong protest
Wow bummer! Always went in for the turkey and Swiss when I was in the area. Best sandwich ever and awesome stuff for sale. I may go in and see what's left. In a sea of jersey Mike's and subway, you were far above the pack. Good luck in your future endeavors or better yet open a sandwich place in carpinteria. We REALLY need one. Paaleeese!!
In Montecito's master plan, sidewalks are prohibited. It matters not what Santa Barbara does. We are not in the city. The Bucket Brigade is sensitively installing "paths". They are decomposed granite, and are very safe. So children can safely walk to school. Al the parents, and the head of School have supported this effort! . Happy New Year everyone!
No it isn't sad that the only person who died was unarmed. She attacked the capitol, and broke through a window. And she wasn't the only person who died. Her act was disgusting and unlawful and depraved. The Capitol police were overwhelmed and in danger protecting our elected Senators and Representatives. there is no justification for her actions... she suffered the consequences of an unlawful act. The Capitol police were defending our Capitol police died also.
Not sure who said what, but the City of Santa Barbara very much creates walking paths all over the city. If someone said something frmo the City, which I cannot tell, who said what, they probably meant they don't want this type of walking path. It only takes two additional minutes of reading to understand these DG paths get washed away every winter and require money and upkeep every few months.
