Five Recently Listed Properties Worth a Look

Normally, I’d post an open-house roundup today, but those generally aren’t happening these days. So instead, here are some properties with potential that just came on the market.

At 8,716 square feet, 256 Las Entradas Drive ($5.25 million) in the Ennisbrook community of Montecito could almost pass for a ski lodge, at least on the outside. Happily, the interiors didn’t get overdone—or when they did, it’s removable. Of course, clean it up too much and you could end up with a disconnect….

…like this. On the outside, 499 Crocker Sperry Drive ($4.495 million) is all hard, white, geometry. Inside is something else entirely. It’s hard to imagine how someone who loves this level of ornateness would end up in this house—especially given how much faux European architecture is generally on the market in Montecito.

2949 Ventura Drive ($1.695 million) in San Roque has a quirky floor plan. But there’s stuff to like, including the kitchen with windows on three sides and plenty of bonus space (huge family room, office loft above garage, artist studio out back…). Fresher decor would’ve gone a long way toward showing it off better. / Open Saturday and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. [UPDATE 3/20: This is probably canceled.]

To wit: take a look at 15 E. Los Olivos Street ($2.385 million) in the Upper East. The 1926 house has been done right; love the cobalt accents, including on the kitchen cabinetry.

The seller of 1126 Estrella Drive ($3.1 million) is either feeling good about the real estate market right now (!) or hoping people have short memories. The house came on the market in April 2019 for $3.25 million. The price subsequently dropped and dropped till it was at $2.85 million. In November, the listing got pulled. Now the house is back—for $3.1 million.
