••• Saturday, October 5, is AIA Santa Barbara’s annual self-guided tour, with nine projects on display: “You will receive a tour brochure and/ or app with maps, photos, and info detailing all the projects. Meet architects and design professionals and discover how design impacts art and art impacts design.” Tickets are $80 for non-members. The Warner Group structure pictured below appears be one of the stops.
••• F45 Training is opening in the former Mattress Land SleepFit space next to
French Press Dune Coffee Roasters at Cota and Anacapa. (According to Google, the studio is slated to debut November 16.) From the website: “The F stands for functional training, a mix of circuit and HIIT style workouts geared towards everyday movement. 45 is the total amount of time for sweat-dripping, heart-pumping fun.” Actor Mark Wahlberg is a minority owner of the company, which franchises out studios.
