Surf brand Mollusk has opened its first Santa Barbara shop—the other two are in San Francisco and Venice Beach—in the Funk Zone. It’s next to Tyger Tyger/Dart Coffee Co., in the space at Yanonali and Santa Barbara streets that was most recently the Arts Fund Gallery. While all the plywood is in line with the brand’s chill aesthetic, it’s also an indication that the store is likely temporary. The lease is for a year or so, at which point the company plans to move elsewhere in town, hopefully in the Funk Zone.
You’ll find men’s and women’s apparel, as well as surf gear. You should definitely stop by and shop in person, but bear in mind that you can also get 15% off your first online order if you sign up for the company’s emails.
