Located in the former Lilette space next to Botanik, Farm to Paper is a combination of Leslie Person Ryan’s longtime stationery business Letter Perfect and her Sweet Wheel Farm. So you’ll find the paper and party goods you remember from the old Letter Perfect outposts on Coast Village Road and Lillie Avenue, as well as the fresh flowers, baked goods, and preserves from Sweet Wheel’s farmstand down the street. What’s more, there is also a selection of appealing home decor items (de rigueur for any Summerland shop) and a terrace with plants and gardening supplies. And Ryan is running classes—currently, there’s a series about beekeeping—out of the space.
A few buildings west of Field + Fort, interior designer Aimee Miller’s Home Crush rivals the Well as one of the prettiest places imaginable to shop for outdoor furniture: two broad terraces are stocked with stylish pieces. And in the building behind the house that’s visible from the street, you’ll find merchandise for inside the home, too. I may need to go back for that slouchy basket….
