••• “Santa Barbara Mayor Randy Rowse Will Not Seek Re-Election [….] He said he made the decision for personal reasons, and has ‘nothing to do with any kind of issue or any individual.’ […] City Council members Eric Friedman and Kristen Sneddon have already announced their intent to run for the seat. Wendy Sims-Moten, executive director of First 5 and a former school board member, also recently announced her campaign for the seat.” —Noozhawk

••• “Santa Barbara County has revoked licenses for nine cannabis operators after the businesses failed to install carbon scrubbers before the end-of-March deadline. […] Operators who had their licenses revoked do have the option to appeal the decision and request a hearing to present evidence. If an operator does not properly appeal the decision within 10 days, the revocation becomes final. At that point, the operator must begin to wind down and cease operations.” —Noozhawk
