We couldn’t find anything conclusive online.” The folks at the Channel Coast division of the California State Parks explain, “Gaviota Sate Park has a vast number of underground utilities that service the region bisecting it. That marker delineates the path of one of them.”

••• KidSTREAM Children’s Museum opens in Camarillo on May 21. “Located at the former Camarillo Public Library site, the 21,000-square-foot campus features interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits inspired by Ventura County’s landscapes and industries—from agricultural experiences with edible gardens to engineering challenges in a dedicated makerspace. The museum is guided by core values including play, community, sustainability, and inclusion, creating a welcoming space for children and caregivers alike.”
••• Creative firm Atelier Sunhouse has turned its Carpinteria showroom (at 888 Linden Avenue, above The Nugget) into a chic shop with “rotating seasonal retail curations. Our first collection is Sommerhus, inspired by the Danish tradition of retreating to the sea and the forest for a season of simple living, connected to the outdoors and a quieter way.” It’s open noon to 5 p.m. today (Sunday), and then check Instagram for further hours.
