There are a number of very expensive homes listed on Padero Lane that don’t appear to be moving. Is there an issue with that street or with the pricing?

Beautiful restoration on Hot Springs. No awful can lights puncturing the ceilings, lovely appropriate light fixtures throughout. Modernized with keeping the classic architecture and finishes. An example of taste and respect fora beautiful masterpiece. I hope others will follow this successful example of a restoration.

Looks just like Ventura’s revamp. Why do we want to copy Ventura? If developers take state funds for housing then SB locals will not income qualify and we’ll be mandated to import low income residents. Exactly what happened in Truckee. Beware of false promises folks.

Delightful as always — I have loved this neighborhood for years and now realize why because of something you described, the hints of Fire Island architecture. I never made the connection, but now totally see it. Best of all, there are even more weird nooks and corners you didn't cover — I encourage readers to go on a walk of their own and discover this great Santa Barbara neighborhood for themselves.
Bonus: Wander across cliff and discover a completely different world in the neighborhoods that wander up the hills in between Miegs and Elling's Park. :-)
