Nothing Beats Your Own Set of Beach Stairs

A lineup of all of this weekend’s open houses can be found at sbopenhouses.com, courtesy the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors. Here are five of the most intriguing ones:

A 1988 Craftsman on Faria Beach (halfway-ish between Carp and Ventura), 3750 Pacific Coast Highway ($3.85 million) could be the weekend beach house of your dreams. And it only has three bedrooms and two baths, so you never have to worry about too many guests—at once, anyway. / Open Sunday, 1-4 p.m.

706 Park Lane ($8.9 million) was built in 1987, but the interiors feel much older—and more Old World—than that might imply. Still, the 3.67 acres on one of Montecito’s best streets is nothing to sniff at. / Open Sunday, 1-4 p.m.

···················

While you’re there, stop by 854 Park Lane ($6.995 million)—a much more stylish house on a lot that’s almost as big. The 1936 house is a joy to explore, even if you’re not in the market. / Open Sunday, 1-4 p.m.

···················

Like the Tudor style but don’t have $7 million? San Roque’s 212 Canon Drive ($2.695 million) dates from 1928. / Open Sunday, 1-3 p.m.

···················

There’s cuteness in the 1954 house at 843 Knapp Drive ($2.9 million) in the part of Montecito that was once the Arcady estate—and I don’t just mean the carousel horse in the living room. It’s going to require some work to uncover it, though. P.S. Try peeking over the fence for a glimpse of what was once Arcady’s grand pool house. / Open Saturday and Sunday, 1-3 p.m.
