Cool Contemporary Backs Off Attempted Covid Bump

There are only five notable price adjustments this week….

In July, 684 Ladera Lane (↓$400K to $3.995M) tried for a Covid bump, raising its price by $500,000. It subsequently went in and out of escrow—third time to go pending since it was first listed in April 2019—and now it’s back below $4 million. The house—a spec renovation, if I remember correctly—has a coolness about it, and it’s turnkey, but the layout struck me as more suitable for a family; alas, the property is outside of the coveted MUS schoolshed.

Now 50 Camino Alto ($80K to $2.475M) is trying for a Covid bump, having been on the market February through May for $2.395 million. Pretty great mountain views.

I love the energy of the public spaces at 1170 Palomino Road (↓$200K to $2.495M), but the bathrooms and wall-to-wall carpet leave something to be desired.

The 10-acre property at 902 E. Alamar Avenue (↓$300K to $2.95M), above San Roque, is in three parcels (1, 2, and 7.3 acres); the middle one has a five-bedroom, three-bath house from 1989 on it.

1200 N. San Marcos Road (↓$504K to $7.95M) is a 6,777-square-foot house on 13.79 acres, although it looks sort of like an East Beach hotel.
