Sounds delicious. So exciting to welcome what sounds like a wonderful new restaurant that isn’t pizza, smash burgers, or wings!
Viva le diversitie …
I did like the bar, it was very nice. We went the first weekend it was open, so they were constantly having photo ops, while we were in the lobby area. It felt like we were in the way a few times. I am not a fan of the pour over, just like a regular cup of coffee at a decent price, found that at Joe's. I just think for what we pay to stay there, the cucumber water, cookies and fresh coffee in the lobby, was always a nice touch.
The food was amazing. Efe has all the right ingredients, great flavor, casual community atmosphere, and love. You feel his soul in his cooking. Yes, it reminds me of Aperitivo, innovative, creative cooking, just what SB needs. Bravo Efe.
My wife and I checked out the Trixy pop-up at Revolver last night. We tried three things on the menu (not the pyramid burger, which I will do another time) plus the dessert and it was all delicious. I hope they stick around!
The way the planning dept is run is why Trump won 🎯
Great question. It's time to hold the county and companies accountable. I've never seen road painting take so long. It's unacceptable to leave streets unmarked for a month without any safety measures in place. That's just how things work here, though. It's like stop signs—they don't install one where it's needed until a tragedy, like a child getting killed, forces their hand.
Those paying attention will notice that the people in charge are less skilled, less organized, and lack basic knowledge of public safety. What would have been unacceptable 10 years ago is now the norm. That's why we have construction roadblocks and detours every few blocks just to travel a couple of miles in town or Montecito. The disorganization in issuing permits is staggering.
It's a system run by people who are inattentive, inefficient, unskilled or just dont care. Look at how long the 101 project has taken, and how many unsafe situations over the decade have occurred with all the lane changes and bad marking and just the amount of accidents especially at Sheffield.
Also just can't believe whatever anybody says, cross reference information states....
The minimum time to wait before painting lines after fog sealing is typically 2–7 days, depending on the asphalt emulsion type, weather, and pavement conditions. Slow-setting emulsions (e.g., SS-1, CSS-1) used in fog seals need at least 2–3 days to break (separate water from asphalt) and begin curing, but full curing for optimal paint adhesion can take up to 7 days in ideal conditions (warm, dry weather above 70°F, low humidity). If the weather is cooler, wetter, or the pavement is more porous, curing may take longer, but a month is often a conservative estimate to ensure durability, not a strict minimum.
At least they did it in the summer. Maybe it was delayed so long because of the cooler weather.
Rozzi’s is such a special place. He really makes everyone feel like a friend. The pizza is incredible and the salad with pizza croutons is fun. We’ve brought many Rozzi pizzas back to the harbor!
That is the epitome of the perfect little beach cottage. very lucky whoever has owned, and whoever will own it.
I like the new concept & the bar is nice. I much prefer the in room pour over coffee service than Starbucks, also Dune coffee shop is one block away on Anacapa st
As someone who stays at Hotel SB every summer, I was disappointed that with the addition of the new bar, they took away some of the perks for paying hotel guests. When Covid hit, the continental breakfast left, and now the complimentary coffee and afternoon cookies. Although I love this hotel, it isn't cheap and those little perks were a nice touch. Now we are expected to buy a latte vs just grabbing a cup of coffee. Thankfully Starbuck's is next door.
The West Side is incredible! Rozzi’s the best.l, love that they added the soft serve.
Rozzi is the best, and so is his pizza.
Sooooo excited about Gracie’s! It looks beautiful and the menu looks amazing.
I’d be happy just to have any place to rent.
In Goleta: Are there any plans to connect S. Kellogg Ave to the airport more directly by extending School Bus Lane?
That Miramar house is a dream! And I’m glad to read that you too think “what would the Mate Gallery men do”. That was my first thought even before I read your caption! If anyone with $16M is reading this - please buy this property and put Matt & Ron to work!
I've witnessed every wildfire for the past 40 years and the recent Palisades fire, (in January of all months), makes me think there is no hope if it happens here. 100 feet of no vegetation could possibly save a home, but who wants to live in a house with no plants or trees? And if by chance your house survives do you really want to live in a wasteland of no trees, no plants, no houses?
And I agree about the construction noise and those darn gardeners with the leaf blowers! Every day except Sunday in Montecito. . . I'm grateful to work there and then head back to SB to my apartment, and the constant sound of traffic.
Will your hours be earlier soon for breakfast? It’s been a popular place to start the day for centuries! 😄
It's so great to see all these listings. Thank you so much for taking the time to create an update all the time such a wonderful website. Christopher Lloyd's house looks beautiful, if I were his team I would definitely clear the brush down those hills to at least 100 feet if he's allowed. That whole area is so beautiful and definitely one of my favorite beautiful paradises, but that whole canyon to skofield park and beyond is a concerning fire situation.
Picacho Lane house is nice too, but I am up there all the time and I must say it is just a constant massive construction everywhere all along the entire street and in fact, in the entire city. Very low quality of living with so much activity in so many huge construction projects. In addition they don't take the cones down over the weekend so it's just orange cones in orange signs everywhere. With the constant noise and construction, I would never want to live there.
I want that cottage!
Whatever we think of Ty Warner, the fact is he owns the Biltmore property and therefore has the right to reopen the hotel, it, close it and sell it, or just let it sit empty.
None of this pearl clutching crap has happened- except the coffee shop, which opens at 8:30 for you early risers and it’s called Los Alamos Coffee and Tea. No hotel. The weed store land is for sale, never had height or building pole erected . Legacy Homes are very slow going- the big dealio around town was them building a spec house that unfortunately had a garage door that failed to line-up anywhere near the sidewalk drop laid for the driveway to hit the street. Any updates would be appreciated !!
Priedite Bbq is doing very well and Eye of the Day has improved the west end of town immensely around Bodega. There appears to be a glamping type situation next door to Charlie’s trying to set up. There is a new community bench in front of Post Office!
Fat Boy tacos in Mojave for me. Pickings are slim in that part of the world.
Happy Canyon Vineyard did leave El Paseo in the Presidio Neighborhood back on Aug 1st. They will be missed. I remember bringing them with me to open back in 2014. It was a good run!
Good news is… they are still welcoming guests at their ranch in Santa Ynez Valley.
Regarding Ospi restaurant, it is owned by a restaurant group that is called Memento Mori Hospitality, which translates to remember you will die hospitality.
