Founded in 2017, Pampel Design is a luxury interior window coverings and exterior shade solution company serving its community across Santa Barbara County. We had the opportunity to chat with co-owners Daniel and Valerie Pampel to learn a little more about this thriving family-owned business.

How did it all start?
You could say we found our career in 2001 when we took over Daniel’s mother’s window-covering franchise on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. But we found our calling when a trip to Santa Barbara caught us hook, line, and sinker; we knew this was where we needed to be. So, countless long days and sleepless nights later, our dream finally became a reality with the launch of Pampel Design.

What values have shaped Pampel Design?
Easy. Respect, innovation, quality, and passion. Without our values, we wouldn’t be who we are today. We hope to facilitate relationships with our clients that breathe life into their vision or spark that sense of excitement. While staying up to date with the latest technologies and doing in-house customizations, we also love designing easy-to-use systems personalized to our client’s taste!

2022 is looking to be a good year! Tell us why.
I suppose it’s because outdoor living will never go out of style, especially for a place as beautiful and temperate as Santa Barbara. We are seeing an overwhelming number of customized orders and installations getting booked daily—we expect this to be a busy summer!

What can we expect next from Pampel Design?
With our growing team and expanding sew room, we look forward to housing more designs and newer technology than before. We are also excited to continue our partnerships with local designers, contractors, and architects so we can give every client their dream luxury outdoor living experience!
Window coverings and shade might seem like minor details to some people, but we know it’s essential to the design and functionality of your everyday life—and it couldn’t be more important living in one of the sunniest places in the country!
Call us at 805-881-8041, visit our showroom at 1014 State Street, or check out our website to get your consultation booked today!
