Intermezzo to Reopen With a Streamlined Menu

••• Intermezzo posted an announcement explaining why it has been closed for most of September and how it plans to reopen October 1. That appears to be getting pushed back, as reservations on OpenTable are available starting October 7.

Intermezzo was one of my favorite places in sant Barbara. For the past 2 years it’s been so poorly mismanaged that I no longer go there. It’s a shame because it was a cool place to meet people and hang out. Now days it seems like people working there are doing you a favor by waiting on you. There’s to many choices to put up with stuck up service.

Roy you should talk to the owner about it. I’m sure he would love your feedback. He’s an awesome guy. I’ve never had that experience. The food and service have always been amazing!

A couple years ago we ate at the bar and enjoyed a couple bites of a delicious pizza, but it wasn’t hot. We politely asked the bar tender if it could be reheated in the pizza oven? The owner who was in the background grabbed the pizza didn’t charge us and basically told us to get out! I think he was definitely under some kind of influence. We never went back as that was a horrible experience.

Hello Karen,
Wow… I remember that evening vividly… yes, you were upset about your pizza not being hot enough. I has my pizzaiolo make you entirely new pie. I personally delivered the pizza to you at the bar and told you it was on the house. You still were not happy and complained. So NO… I “basically” did not tell you to get out.
Two years later… still a Karen.

Tracy I’m glad you had a different experience than I did.
I am letting the owner know through social media just like everyone else does. I hope he reads this.
Peace out!
