They purchased it in June 2023 for $22.5 million; gave it a glamorous makeover; flipped it to mining magnate Robert Friedland and his wife, Darlene, in early 2024 for $32 million; and then took it back in a complex swap. The property is now just over 11 acres, as it includes 289 San Ysidro Road, an adjacent 3.15-acre vacant lot that DeGeneres and de Rossi bought for $6 million in June 2024.

Erik, Am having a bit of a time keeping score on Ellen and Portia’s current SB holdings—are they fully out with the sale of 319 San Ysidro? (They’re already on their second Cotswolds farm—the first one now for sale at about $30 million.)
By my estimation, they still have two minor properties: 1863 San Leandro Lane and an Upper Village condo (https://www.sitelinesb.com/a-timeline-of-ellen-degeneress-and-portia-de-rossis-local-real-estate-transactions/). But for all I know they have more holdings….
Complete redo at 2500 EVR….Ranch which is now Bechtel project . Please look to this to ever change the nature of East Valley montecito. Roger Kritz

Sad to say but its so true. I know one of her x-staff she threw an empty paper towel roll at him when she found it empty in the break room, and said always make sure its full. You gotta watch out for the people that say be kind for to one another, those usually are the least kind people. Normally kind people don’t say things like that. They just do it. They just are.
