••• Field + Fort‘s The Larder has opened in Carpinteria, in the Food Liaison’s former space on Casitas Pass Road. S. sent over a few photos and said that a staffer mentioned the likelihood of The Larder introducing something similar to the Food Liaison’s famous Crack Bowl. And D. passed along the menu.

••• Erewhon announced that its new Thousand Oaks store (inside The Lakes at 2150 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard) opens August 26.
••• Bon Appétit is a shadow of the magazine it used to be, but seeing Little Mountain make its list of 19 best new restaurants in the U.S. was still a delight. (The article is not online yet.) This will surely be the first of many honors for Little Mountain.
••• Restaurant Guy has posted that Yona Redz opened at the Kim’s Service Department complex on lower State Street, but that was just a pop-up for Fiesta.
••• What’s going on with Silvergreens? It opened in mid-June and then quickly shifted to only accepting online orders, citing an equipment issue that “forced them to store the food in the back while the front coolers are being fixed,” as per the Santa Barbara News-Press.
