Home is a deeply personal space. It’s a sanctuary where we rest, rejuvenate, connect with loved ones, and create our most cherished memories.
At the Casamara Club, we are dedicated to enhancing the enjoyment of being home by ensuring your property is managed to exacting standards. Letting us handle the homeownership workload means you can devote your time and energy to the pursuits that matter most to you.
WHAT SETS US APART
We are selective: We identify and vet best-in-class trade services, accepting nothing less than excellence. Serving only a select group of homeowners, we reserve membership for those with magnificent properties.
We are meticulous: We are emphatic about attention to detail and quality in everything we do. We care deeply about your satisfaction and won’t rest until you are happy with our service.
We are personal: We prioritize cultivating close relationships that surpass the typical business-customer engagement. We treat Casamara members like family and their homes as if they were our own.
We are trustworthy: We always act ethically and keep all personal information strictly confidential. Delegating the maintenance workload to us never comes at the expense of regular communication and full transparency.
WHAT WE OFFER
Our highly personalized approach includes a comprehensive evaluation of your specific needs. We’ll take an in-depth look at your expectations and make your preferences our priority. ••• Landscape maintenance, patio furniture cleaning, power washing, pool upkeep, grill cleaning, and more.

HOW CASAMARA STARTED
After purchasing their home in Santa Barbara, Max Schaps and his wife, Katherine, undertook the grueling process of identifying qualified, reputable vendors to handle their many maintenance and improvement needs. The effort to transform their house into a home nearly became a full-time job: vendor research, introduction calls, onsite consultations, cost comparisons, job oversight, invoices, payments, and so on. Having navigated the challenges of sourcing trade services that met his standards, Max recognized a largely underserved need with respect to property management: an elite stewardship service dedicated exclusively to owner-occupied homes—in other words, a trustworthy member of the local community whom you can trust to manage your home with pride and attention to detail. And so Casamara was born.
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT MAX SCHAPS
From real estate to wealth management, Max Schaps has dedicated his career to serving the unique needs of discerning, ultra-high-net-worth clientele.
He got his start in a single-family office, managing the trust’s private aircraft and real estate holdings—a diverse portfolio which included local residences on Padaro Lane and Oak Creek Canyon Road, a Four Seasons penthouse, a Beaver Creek ski chalet, and two large commercial office properties. After six years in his family office role, Max was recruited to a team at Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking & Investment Group, supporting multiple family office clients with a range of investing and financing solutions. Max is a CFA charterholder and proud alumnus of UC Santa Barbara, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Economics.
With seasoned expertise and years of practical experience, Max is well equipped to oversee high-end estates with discretion, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail. Through the offerings of Casamara, he is committed to exceeding his clients’ highest expectations for the stewardship of their home, property, and overall well-being.
