The 2025 Shop-Local Gift Guide, Part 3

The best gifts come from the heart—and from local independent shops, such as Folio Press & Paperie (above), Game Seeker, Jake and Jones Menswear & Objects, Satellite, The Eddy, and The Warbler. So get out there and go shopping! And of course there’s far more at these shops—and all over town—than whatever caught my eye.

Previously:
••• Part 1: Domecíl, Italian Pottery Outlet, Chicken Little, The Daisy, Art Essentials
••• Part 2: Folly, Diani, Lighthouse Skate Shop, Field Trip, Crafters Library

First up, Folio Press & Paperie:

Some things never go out of style ($10).

···············

Classy crayons for adults who like coloring books ($20).

···············

Sprinkle donut ornaments ($16) that would also make a fun pendant.

···············

Cherchez le chat ($5).

······················

And now, Game Seeker:

Owner Ingrid Estrella said Monikers ($35), a riff off the classic game Celebrity, is her current favorite.

···············

Spaceteam, which involves “fast-paced, cooperative shouting,” is one of the many runners-up ($30).

···············

And who wouldn’t like to throw a burrito ($27) at someone?

······················

At Satellite:

Perk up game night with something sticky ($41).

······················

Meanwhile, at Jake and Jones Menswear & Objects:

Tube socks are sexy; don’t argue (three-pack, $82).

···············

Put something a little passive-aggressive under the tree ($70).

······················

Which leads us to The Eddy:

Some like it sweet ($9)…

···············

…and other like it salty ($45) and ($16). The bucket of Maldon makes a better gift, but I asked the shop to carry Diamond Crystal kosher salt, so I feel obliged to include it.

···············

A berry good puffy lunch bag ($38).

···············

Suede potholders ($32): because there’s a time and a place to drop it like it’s hot.

······················

And finally, The Warbler:

The B-52’s don’t get enough credit for being funky ($20). Nip it in the bud!

So happy that Game Seeker found a new space! The owners are lovely. Ingrid once told me that they will take the time to show someone how to play a game and then will open up the Amazon app and order it online right in front of them. Broke my heart.

Not sure who took the picture of the Cambells crayon soup, but
I was wondering where you saw them at?

Thanks
