Awesome news about Nordstrom. We’re never going to fix downtown with adding in housing. Let’s keep our urban core vibrant. I’d rather see us build out downtown than develop open space, etc.
The addition of housing in the old Nordstrom is the kind of thing that will attract the businesses mentioned (grocery store, gym, etc.). I applaud this direction and hope Paseo Nuevo will be the site of even more housing.
Separate note: Interesting that Arrediamo Home Decor is opening a second location, as I see that the Big Yellow House building has been listed for a while ($6,195,000).

Step one in bringing locals back downtown: reopen State St.
State street could really use some broadly useful, premium, businesses that boost foot traffic in the area. A good grocery would be my top pick. Ideally TriCounty could set-up, but something like WholeFoods would also work.
An Equinox gym could also be good, or alternatively SBAC/Swell would want to see-up an additional location there?

Cemetery just across the fence from the barn with a little iron border all around it & she said “there are two spaces left ~ one for me & one for you.” As previously mentioned Huguette owned Madison Square Gardens, and the entire building at 905-907 5th Avenue - where she owned both penthouses and the front half of the 8th floor, but, they lived in the house they built on the roof after they bought the building in the ‘20’s to have higher ceilings. She came to Bellosguardo every Summer until 2007 & always stopped on her way to & from Hawaii where she went every Winter up to 2007 - it was her favourite house, across the street from Doris Duke’s Shangri-la. She had such noble intentions to really help America = all thwarted by the lawyers, accountant, staff, hospital, lazy judge & careless uninformed authors. Dina Merrill estimated her Estate at “around six Billion”. The IRS should be forced to tell the Truth after they ignored her Will, which she re-signed every year in front of them for thirty years to prove her intent. These are the True Facts “ma’am” as GOD knows! . . .

I built the little building in the patio of 731 de la guerra for my juice bar and sandwich shop- “ the Yucatan Nectar Stand”
And my store “gone native” opened in the main building in 1980- we brought life to de la guerra plaza with music in the patio and events on the lawn! One love cat smith

The carnitas are still on the menu, which is great to see. The new menu refresh is awesome, and also some of the faves remain. Best of both worlds.

Just to be clear, the city (and maybe county) no longer allows lighted tennis courts. I'll try looking into when and why, but I think it's fair to assume that neighbors don't love extremely bright lights at night.
Why and when did the ban on tennis courts come into being?
I love the old stove in the Brinkerhoff place. I wonder if the exterior color combo is in keeping with the era?
